Two years ago I started with a pocket camera, 6 weeks later I bought a Nikon DSLR and a copy of Photoshop CS3. I was hooked. Big time.
Since then I have been trying to learn everything about creative arts that I can, and progress is good. Everyday holds something new, and I can't wait to find out what is next.
Print, web, interactive, or otherwise, I don't care what I'm doing as long as I'm learning something new.
My main experience is in HDR, panoramic, and strobe photography. Through personal work and an internship I'm also improving my skills in CSS, Flash/Action Script, Illustrator, InDesign, and Video Production.
I do it only because I enjoy it.
Working for myself requires much more effort and learning, but honestly it's worth everything I put into it. I truly love what I do, and others love the work I do for them. Every detail counts.
Business is done through personal interaction, not by determining the schedasticity of sample points versus a sum of squares equation.
I'm almost done with my business degree but I'm learning a lot more about business by making things work for myself. People make businesses run. Absolutely nothing replaces people skills.
